Yeah, it is a badly optimazed game, I also had to lower a lots of settings with a 5600x and a 3080. The Steam VR test is really old. It's designed for headsets from 2016. Headsets now are much higher resolution and the Steam VR test is basically useless. No Man's Sky VR is just a horrible unoptimized mess.
You do this by right clicking No Man’s Sky in your Steam library and going to “Properties”. In the drop down tab, there will be a “BETA” option. Select it and then it’ll ask you for a beta code. Type in “3xperimental” without the quotes and click “CHECK CODE”. Now you’re getting the experimental beta updates for the game.
Well if you're talking about using link or virtual desktop then yes. I'm curreny trying out nms vr on quest 2 but things are a little janky. Running at 90fps on vr at high settings but doesn't quite feel right as compared to 2d view. Hello I have a question, this is quite old I know, I have a quest two.Everyone with the quest 2 on that thread said it worked, I don't personally have one though. Yes. Thats how i play it. Its not really "playing" on the Q2. The PC handles all the processing and streams it to the headset. Yes. Thats how i play it. Its not really "playing" on the Q2.

To help for now tho, you will just need to do shorter sessions until your brain gets used to it. While you are playing though, you can do things to help like take ginger pills, or chew ginger gum The PCVR options are currently official link cable, 3rd party link cable (USB3 cable), Virtual Desktop for wireless PCVR ($20 app), ALVR for wireless streaming (free app) or wait for the official built-in AirLink wireless support coming sometime this month in v28. No Man's Sky works great on the Q2 both wired and wireless, depending on your PC

Still not perfect, but getting damn near! Valve employees themselves have started to pile on with how poorly the optimization is. We can't get the game to run smoothly at lowest settings at 0.7 SS. .
